My Career and Life Have Been Full of Plot Twists.
I have gone from being a police officer, to a marketing and communications professional, to a c-level executive. I then founded my own marketing agency, which was strategically acquired 16 months later.
Currently, I am the Executive Manager for New Hope Girls, a non-profit based in the Dominican Republic that fights trafficking, exploitation and cycles of abuse. Along the way I battled a cancer diagnosis while pregnant. I have a lot of unique experiences to draw from and am full of gratitude for the colorful journey I have lived.
I balance a fun and active career with an amazing family. I’m married to a wonderful man and the momma to two young kids, Harper and Peyton. Motherhood is a blessing and allows me a lot of great opportunities to tap into my inner child. It is amazing how many career and leadership lessons I have learned through loving and nurturing my children alongside my husband.
I start each day with a cup of coffee and quiet reflection — I like having space to think deeply and reflect with gratitude. I balance a my career with a deep commitment to faith, family, a love for running (and copious amounts of coffee). With an affinity for fuzzy socks and the color yellow, I live a vibrant and bold life!
Loving and Serving.
Although my career and experiences have been varied, there has been a consistent theme of supporting and encouraging other women. My role with New Hope Girls allows me to step into that calling. Our purpose-driven organization rescues young girls from the darkest of places and helps them establish their true identity. We also empower women through jobs that allow them to provide for their family with honor. It is my distinct honor to use my gifts, talents, and business acumen to help them in this critical work.
I want every woman to know she is enough, she is worthy and her dreams matter. This bold mission is rooted in the truth found within scripture. We were each specifically made by a loving Father who wants to know us. Although we are reminded we will face challenges, we are also promised that He is always with us. I am bold because of Jesus and because He first loved me – He boldly pursued me first. Knowing that He has a relentless love for each and every person, it is my joy to celebrate this in the blogs I write, conversations I have, and people I am able to encourage.
